Greencastle get Gold Award

Greencastle get Gold Award 19 March 2012

The Greencastle club has become the third Tyrone club to be awarded the Gold Standard Club Maith award and now join a small number of clubs across Ulster who have achieved this standard.

Club Maith is a scheme unique to the GAA which allows clubs to be benchmarked against best practice standards across the full range of GAA Club activity. The Club Maith Gold award is only conferred on excellent Clubs which are fully integrated and community-based.

This is a major achievement by the club, and in particular highlights two years of hard work by our Development Officer, Fiona Teague.

Fiona undertook the extensive application process and it was fitting that she was presented with the Club Person of the Year award in recognition of her efforts.
