News: Our Lady of Lourdes Silver Jubilee

Our Lady of Lourdes PS, Greencastle, County Tyrone, recently celebrated the Silver Jubilee of its opening. The pupils of Year Seven and their teacher, Mrs Diane McCann, decided to mark the occasion by producing a commemorative cookbook, Recipes For Success, made up entirely of the personal favourite meals suggested by a host of well known GAA figures.

All proceeds from the sale of the books were donated to the Cormac Trust and t he presentation took place at the recent Teamtalk Tyrone All-Stars banquet when a cheque for £9000 was handed over by the school's Vice Principal, Mrs McCann, to Mrs Bridget McAnallen.

Also included in the picture are Mr Kieran Kennedy, O'Neills Sportswear (chief sponsor of the cookbook), Mr Pat Clarke, Chairman of St Patrick's GFC, Greencastle, and Mr Mickey Harte, manager of the Tyrone football team.
