Club Talk

20 December 2011

GREENCASTLE RUN
Don’t forget that the annual Greencastle 5 mile run is on Monday 26th December - the walk starts at 11am and the run starts at 1pm. Car-parking stewards are asked to assemble at the community centre at 9:30am in preparation for the event.

SENIOR SCÓR
It's senior Scór time again. Anyone interested in taking part or helping with the organisation are welcome to contact Gemma Fox or Pat Clarke. Let’s get the club represented in solo singing, recitation, novelty act, quiz, and/or instrumental music. To take part you must be over 17 years of age and be a club member.

FRIENDS OF GREENCASTLE
Over the next month the club will be seeking new members and collecting Friends of Greencastle subscriptions. We appreciate all the support in the past year and ask for your continued support in 2012.

YOUTH COMMITTEE
We hope to establish a Youth Committee in 2012 which will allow representatives from different underage groups in football and handball to play a more active role in the management of the club. This is a great opportunity to allow the views and issues of our underage players to be voiced and will allow those involved to help organise any future youth related events. Anyone who is interested, has ideas or wants more details should contact Fiona Teague or Michael McNamee.

REFEREES
The club urgently needs to recruit referees so if anyone is interested please contact Pat Clarke.

RAGS 2 RICHES
There is a Rags2Riches collection point at the hall for unwanted clothes, etc. Last year this earned almost £400 for the club so please use this facility when possible.

CARDS
The 45 card drive will be on Tuesday 27th Dec at 7pm to suit the Christmas break.

LOTTO
Lotto jackpot is now £6,450. Last week’s letters were O-P-Q-V-Y. Two people with 3 letters won £25 each.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
Finally, the club would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
