Greencastle Spring Tour 2013

With days getting longer, what better time to knock the dust of your bicycle and get out practicing for the first Greencastle Spring Tour on 3rd March 2013.
The Spring Tour supports the club’s commitment towards Health and Well-being in the community and will provide a financial boost to both the club and our chosen charity.
OUR CHOSEN CHARITY
Crohn's and Colitis UK aims to improve life for everyone affected by Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), the most common forms being Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Together these conditions affect about 250,000 people in the UK.
The charity brings together people of all ages who have been diagnosed with IBD, their families, and the health professionals involved in their care.
WHY THIS CHARITY?
Noel Conway, a current senior player, is a sufferer and the club decided to donate money to a lesser known charity with the aim of providing some financial assistance as well as raising awareness of the work the charity does. You can find out more at:

DETAILS OF THE EVENT
A £10 entry fee needs to be paid when registering or you can raise sponsorship for the event. All registered entrants will receive an event t-shirt for their efforts.

There are three routes to provide options for cyclists of all capabilities. Please note that U16 cyclists will only be allowed to complete the 8 mile route unless they are accompanied by a responsible adult. Click

The 25 & 40 mile cycles will start at 9:30am on Sunday 3rd of March. The 8 mile cycle will start an hour later at 10:30am.
