Greencastle lose away to Carrickmore
29 June 2011
Greencastle Seniors and Reserves both lose away to Carrickmore in tonight's mid-week league match.
Greencastle made the short journey across to neighbours Carrickmore and found the going tough during the opening thirty minutes as they found themselves trailing 0-7 to 0-2 at the break. Mark Donnelly, Kevin Mc Nally, Caolan Daly and Benny Martin were all on target for the home side while Greencastle’s two points came from frees scored by Mark Carson and Marty Conway. Things did not improve for the visitors during the second half as the home side produced a fine team display to win 2-12 to 1-6 with their goals coming from Kevin Mc Nally and Caolan Daly. Daly also landed a few points while Enda Clarke’s goal for the visitors was scant consolation as the game ended in a double score victory for the table toppers.
